Two Good Uses of Lemons

         Some Interesting Uses of Lemons!

Like many people,  I find interest in learning new ways to use products that I already have available, especially if it works and it saves money.

Drink Your Water:

There are many articles about the benefits of lemons, but my favorite is just adding a few lemons slices to your drinking water.  It adds flavor to the water and it helps motivate you to drink more water.  Research the benefits of lemons! Plus, there is something visually pleasant about seeing fresh lemons in your water.

I received this tip from my neighbor (and some lemons).  During the Summer, and, actually, throughout the year, slice some lemons and then, store the slices in the freezer.  So, it becomes a treat instead of a chore to drink plenty of water.   Thanks neighbor! :)

Keep Your Disposal Smelling Fresh:

And, I went a step further.  I cut off both ends of the lemons and, then, I  sliced them length wise.  Did you say, "for what"?  Well, I read that if you put lemon peels in the garbage disposal, it will make it smell  fresh.  So, I stored the ends of the lemons in the freezer to keep them from spoiling.  And, it did smell lemony fresh!

So, it might be beneficial to keep some lemons around! :)
